Stella is a classic, it has been 'on the map' for many years and has a wide variety of clientele, from visiting tourists to locals of all ages. It has a very intimate feel, especially in the seating area through the back which resembles an after party lounge environment. People are generally friendly here, most of the bar staff speak some English. Ring the doorbell at street level to gain entry.

Very nice café right in the centre of Prague near Wenceslav Square with a pleasant, relaxed atmosphere. Very popular all day, especially between 5pm to 11pm, lots of cute locals and yummy bar staff! Located in the heart of town. The majority of clientele are Gay and Lesbian, although it is likely you may see one or two tourists who have wandered in for a beer or a coffee, due to it's superb location at the top of Wenceslas Square, or indeed Gay friendly locals. Either way, one thing is for sure, this place has a nice, friendly, welcoming atmosphere. This is one of the bars you should go to if you want to meet local Czech talent, as opposed to lots of other tourists (ditto: Fajn Bar, Stella Bar, Piano Bar, Latimerie, Erra, Alcatraz, Rudolfo)

Piano is a very eclectic bar which can get very smoky, with a great mix of people and characters. Here you will meet mainly locals (some nice ones!). This is the kind of place you can go to for one or two drinks and end up in the middle of an uninhibited party atmosphere, albeit somewhat impromptu and spontaneous. Not many 'tourists' tend to visit this bar but we would defientely recommend a visit

Saints bar is frequented by a wide mix of clients; tourists, expats and locals. Selling a wide range of drinks and some super cocktails :) (hic!) We like the music policy in here, something for everyone. At the weekend this bar is an ideal starting point before progressing to one of the nearby clubs (Termix & Valentinos) although you may end up staying put! Weeknights vary, sometimes quiet sometimes rowdy! Well worth a visit.

Comfortable nicely designed cellar bar with a relaxed atmosphere and very inventive lighting. Mostly Czech clientele. There are tables for about 30-40 people. Service is very friendly. This is one of the bars you should go to if you want to meet local Czech talent, as opposed to lots of other tourists (ditto: Fajn Bar, Stella Bar, Piano Bar, Latimerie, Erra, Cafe Muzeum, Alcatraz, Rudolfo)
